More crumbs - this time a section of sponson top from Righty. Where it's clean and shiny and blue it was buried. This piece was sonar-visible. As ever, it's now back where it belongs because we had the rest of that panel tucked away following the recovery effort in 2001.

By now we were about six weeks into the effort to find the cockpit frame and no further forward. Little did we know that we had as long to go.
