So now we had a frame in first class condition and rigged so we could begin to build the machine again. First on the list were the internal bulkheads. Remember that interview with Donald where he gets on about lead ingots fitted into the stern into something put there for that very purpose? Well he was fibbing. They bolted the lead either side of this bulkhead with four lengths of studded bar that ripped those slots through the tinware when the whole lot went over.
