Comments: Well done Bill and Bluebird Project Team. Donald would have been proud of you, he would have been fascinated at the rebuild making K7 fit to run again on Coniston, having lain on the bottom of Coniston, where you found her lying after so many decades. In bringing up this iconic peice of British history, you have caused a new audience to get interested again in the Campbells story. This was done by you all at the Bluebird Project, with all of your hard work in the thousands of man hours, painfully restoring Bluebird K7 to a condition fit for a museum and also for a run on Coniston. You also, by recovering Donald, gave the finality and dignity that he deserved and gave closure to Gena, and also his family and friends. Donald Campbell was a legend-he will be so again, thanks to you Bill and your dedicated, hardworking team. You are making history.
