Love this site. Cant wait to see Bluebird finished. Wish The Bluebird Project had a Facebook Page though. My only complaint. Besides that keep up the good work!

I stumbled on this website a few months ago after a visit to Coniston and I’ve been well and truly sucked into a brilliant story.

Having restored a few old cars I can sort of appreciate the monumental task that these guys have taken on and what a truly amazing job they are doing.

I never realised how much original material can be saved if you put your mind to it.
Classic car restorers could learn a lot from reading the dairy archives, I know I have.

Anyway, I’ve stuck a tenner in the Paypal donations tin so that when me and the kids are on the banks of Coniston, shivering and breathing jet fumes, I can point to a blue rivet and proudly announce “See that rivet? That’s our rivet that is”.
Realistically my tenner will probably go towards a box of teabags and some custard creams, but I’ll not tell the kids - as a great philosopher once said ‘every little helps’

All the best, keep up the good work ..and diary the entries.

Chris.

Inspirational stuff guys.

I've only recently discovered the website - I remember being fascinated in 2001 by the recovery coverage, but it's all passed me by since then.

Spent the last two weeks reading the Diary & Archives and am completely amazed by all the stories - not only the history and nostalgia but also the dedication and skill of the entire project team. Bill's sense of humour isn't bad either.

I join the many thousands of people who can't wait to see, hear and otherwise experience the end result. Chequebook is also coming out - I need those DVD's.

Well done guys.

Just seen the news item "Restored Bluebird tested at speed", I thought "Blimey, they've got a move on with that!!!" :D
(Unfortunately it's not the one I was thinking of)

Hi Guys,

British engineering and ingenuity is not dead!
Complete respect and congratulations to you all -

I can the remember crash as a kid. Sad day I seem to recall.

I am an electronics engineer in the automotive industry (Aston Martin) and love engineering talent and passion.

I can, from the photos in the gallery, see you are recreating not only the great British engineering and overcoming with skill and ingenuity to re use well deformed structures to get K9 back together again. This should inspire the youth of today into engineering.

I would love to help in any form I can - just ask.
My background is electrical and electronic engineering including RF.

I will keep an eye on things and enjoy the daft banter also. I would love to come and visit you guys (and galls) and see the magnificent work and meet you.

Take it easy.

Much inspiration.
