Re: Coniston Bye laws/Ruskin
Eerily, for some reason my Youtube home page suggestions this morning included an item on fixing Qualcasts - still, thats Google algorithms for you! I cannot comment on other aspects of this sorry tale beyond saying that I have been lucky enough to have seen at first hand the results of the extraord...

Re: Bute - 30 days on (and counting)
I think we need a meeting to decide on the number of expendable youths we need to hold K7 as we start her. Should we accidentally kill the one we took last time and not have a spare the H&S wombles might stop us running due to the possibility of an unsafe release. All through the Bute fortnight...

It has been a real god-send for those of us unable to get to the Isle. Now looking forward to Bill's next diary - should be an entertaining read! But that's it...

And I'm old enough to remember school trips on the Maid back in her 1960s heyday. http://www.dumbartonreporter.co.uk/news/16081653.Maid_of_the_Loch_restoration_given_huge_boost_wit...

Re: Pic of the Day
It was a passing phase, Richie, part of a mis-spent, wind-assisted youth. I've been all internal combustion for several decades now!

Ah Graphspeed - I remember covering the bottom of GP14s with it back in my rag and stick days (a very long time ago). Expensive stuff, and I don't recall it making a whit of difference.

Re: Pic of the Day
Just to echo what Nigel and Jon have said above, to those of us watching progress from afar this seems like a defining moment. There are doubtless several mountains yet to be climbed, but it must have felt good when you stood back to admire your work. It is a fantastic achievement. Very, very well d...
