Re: Bluebird K7

There are some photos here http://kentphotoarchive.com/kpa/warpeace/thumblarge.php?keywordname=MAIDSTONE&selection=2&category_id=0&startnumber=136&pagenumber=7 of Bluebird on display in a garage in Maidstone, Kent in 1958, so I guess it was 'on the road' around about the time you men...

Re: What have forum members been up to?

It is comforting to note that ' The abandoned chair reported at Coniston Primary School in last month’s minutes has been removed '. :D Some councils would sit on such things for an eternity...

A Word about Bill's Diary...

...superb! Whilst I Imagine Bill is not one to wallow in 'self-regarding nonsense', ii must be said his diary makes for a fantastic read. Witty, infotmative and enough technical detail to satiate the techno thirst of even the most anal of hands-on spannersmen. The entirety to date would make for a f...

Re: Infinity (and beyond?)

Thank you all for your input on this thread. It seems 'infinity' itself, being a recognised mathematical symbol, can be used with impunity - but combined with 'K7' treads on corporate toes? Anyway, seeing as the thread now encompasses many's a tangential shift...was that Bill's question on Radio 4 t...

Infinity (and beyond?)

Did I read on here that the K7 Infinity logo belongs to Lloyds? Its such a simple yet stylish and evocative symbol. Do the project have any merchandise containing just this symbol or are the copyright issues in reproducing it.

Burma Spitfires

Lots about this in the media recently. I've been following the project this last year or so and it seems the moment of truth is nigh. To briefly recap: 'Up to 100' (or more likely 30-40) 'Brand new' crated, greased and pristine MkXIV (Possibly a small number of extremely rare Mk VIII's too) were rep...

Why So Little Footage?

Considering the amount of interest and TV/press coverage of 4/1/67 and the emergence of personal cine cameras around that time - how come there is so little footage available of that fateful last run? I have only ever seen the 'classic' B&W footage which seems incredible for a World Record attem...

Final Paint Blend?

Apologies if I have missed this on another thread or the diary - but will K7 be finished in original paint or will it have to be 'as near as damn it'? I would imagine that the original K7 blue paint was a one-off blend and that the original supplier has gone the way of loose-leaf tea and Tony Curtis...
