Re: Nomadic, Titanic & other historic vessels

it would be exciting, Bill, if you could find a wreck with fabulous riches aboard, as had HMS EDINBURGH, salvaged, as you know, by the late Keith Jessop. The excitement in doing a job like that must be off the scale.

Surely there must have been some sort of clutch / fluid flywheel, to enable start up without immediately mov...

Re: Other Speed Record Breakers Are Available!

Has anybody read the book "World's Fastest Coffin on Water" - a biography of Ken Warby? I was wondering if it was worth buying.

Re: Other Speed Record Breakers Are Available!

That is AMAZING! Thanks for posting it - I had not heard of this incredible bike before.
I can't help but think of the Burt Munro after watching this. What a great film "World's Fastest Indian" is!

Re: Dead Metal

I am surprised that no mention of the fastest transatlantic liner SS "UNITED STATES" has been made under the heading of "Dead Metal", especially bearing in mind the K7 connection. As you will know, K7 was transported to the USA ( in the late 1950's I think) on the "UNITED STATES" and there are photo...

Bluebird / Donald Campbell Video

Can anybody advise me if the "Campbell at Coniston" John Lomax DVD is a worthwhile purchase, please? It would appear that it is only available from the Ruskin Museum, which, for me, would necessitate a drive up to Coniston, as they don't sell these by mail order. Also, is "Price Of A Record" and "Ho...
