Re: Bluebird & Other Scale Models

There was that 3d scan a while ago...
Any thought of releasing that data?
Or doing another scan when closer to complete?

That was a bit of snark at the LDNPA.

After reading maybe another 20% of the page, I take back my snark. Looks like maybe mostly kinda reasonable.

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

At the LDNPA page posted yesterday by Malcolm: Update 30 January, 2019 Steve Tatlock, Park Management team leader at the Lake District National Park, said: “We are disappointed to hear the Bluebird Event Group will not be bringing Bluebird K7 back to Coniston Water this summer, [...]” And more appar...

Did you just say "Lake Winnebago"?

15x50km and 6m deep with many access points and little bureaucracy.
Big noisy fast boats welcome. Ted will find friends and Bluebird may find a fair race.
The local sailing speed record was 143mph before Donald got started.

Re: Pic of the Day

Progress defies words, as ever over past some years.

Apart from color, iirc there was something specially slippery about the original bottom paint. Any thoughts about replicating that or not?
