...but having the clout to stop Bluebird running anywhere? That sounds like a fairly major power shift...
I hope you're wrong but if this is what's happened then it will probably be war with the Ruskin in court. Bill can you clarify anything at this stage?

Re: Bluebird Runs 2019

Does this mean there will be no K7 outing this year, or just that it won't be a joint venture with the Ruskin?

And try to avoid doing a Gambon when bringing her back in to the shore next time. I nearly sh*t myself when I first saw the Sky film!

So now you know the score - someone tell us what we should do next?
Go back to Bute again this summer and also start putting a plan together to run K7 at other locations apart from Coniston (and Bute). I honestly don't think you could have done any more than you have.

I am thinking of another famous scottish loch in the history of speed records - Loch Ness ??
I think Loch Ness is far too deep should it be necessary to go down and retrieve anything that comes off e.g. the canopy. Fad is fairly shallow IIRC.

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

Following a meeting last Sunday with the powers on the isle we can at least confirm our permission to return to Bute so if Coniston can't get their event signed off by LDNPA and the organising in process within the next few weeks Bute will certainly be available to pick up the baton. I did wonder i...

It would make a great stand-in exhibit at the Ruskin when K7 is out on tour!

we're going to survey the proposed launching site to see if we can get K7 into the water there. It might be fine, it might need sandbags or a slipway mat so we'll go find out.
Not Pier Cottage then?
