Has the canopy been recovered or is it lost?
Never say never is the motto in the team. The Loch sediment May have captured the heavy bit. Our safety diver may go looking again but that recovery is not the priority.

The boat is not on the water on 11th or 12th - both days are for static displays.

Re: Isle of Bute

Can you confirm what day and ferry time she will be travelling on from Wemyss Bay to Rothesay? I see the crew are very busy as normal, hence a delayed response Billyblue. Friday 3rd August. Bluebird K7 is scheduled to be on the 17.45 departure so as to arrive on the Isle of Bute at 18.20, where she...

Re: Isle of Bute

recommendations for getting to lakeside - walk along from Rothesay or park somewhere near the Fishery? If you like a good walk then striding up from Rothesay might be good (not for me though it is uphill). The Fishery will be restricted to team vehicles, safety, divers etc. Oh ...… and a certain bl...

have no idea about the rest of it though.
A man in France called Steve Holter knows what was 'done' to the craft when owned by Paul Foulkes-Halbard. If he is not writing a book about K3 he might tell all  .

Re: Return to the Water

I am sure that Coniston is not the 'only' location, but it is perhaps the most important to the story of K7? Coniston - four outright world water speed records by K7. Ullswater - the first outright world water speed record over 200mph by K7. Lake Mead - one outright world water speed record by K7. L...

Re: Return to the Water

This abstract was posted by Techteam in the Isle of Bute thread, but it relates to Coniston and Coniston Water. [In the past the village has monitored this thread]. "As much as it breaks my heart, as somebody who grew up and resides in the area and has been involved in record breaking on Coniston I ...

Re: Isle of Bute

the LDNPA ought to have been crushed out long ago by the juggernaut that Coniston should be driving their way. Just took time out for an interesting exercise, as someone might do the same. The Isle of Bute at about 122 square kilometre (or perhaps kilometres square) would fit over the Grizedale and...
