Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

Would it be a fair comment that Coniston village and the surrounding area are generally supportive and receptive towards Bluebird K7 running on the lake, but are being stifled by the LDNPA? Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

Thanks for the update, what I don’t understand is that from records week there’s going to be a significant amount of noise, wash, impact on wildlife, so why do they turn a blind eye to that yet make you guys jump through ever increasing hoops! Re: The Bloodhound SSC/Thrust/Noble Thread

But the trouble is this is essentially a one off record where by the f1 teams compete year after year for sponsorship and prize money. Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

There are quite a few other K7 models out there, many large scale turbine powered too, would definitely be cool to get a bunch of them together!!

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

The Bluebird revolution! Sounds good! Bill and the team are visionaries which threatens the narrow minded beaurocrats who like to look at dead machines locked up in museums.

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

Could it be possible that the maximum safe speed for Bluebird k7 to safely travel before becoming airborn had previously been miscalculated by the Norris bros etc? I hear 350 referrered to as the uppermost safe design speed, but if it was actually lower around the lower 300s then it was never going ...
