Re: Isle of Bute
There are several short videos in the Twitter feed showing a large rooster tail of spray, these are from before today, so could have been viewed last night (UK time). I'm not competant to say the boat is 'on the plane'. I don't have a Twitter account, but I can see all these via my browser. Employer...

Re: Isle of Bute
Has the canopy been recovered or is it lost? The Twitter feed says (I'm assuming you don't have access to this during your hours of employment) "The vents we routed to prevent the intakes from imploding as per 1966 worked against us by pressurising the cockpit when Ted came off the throttle an...

Re: Isle of Bute
Surely someone has a GoPro to stick on the canopy?? I feel that Bill and the team should have the choice, they have earned that right. Having followed the story for some years, and read about the immense time and effort in re-using and reforming original 'fabric', I find the idea of 'a Go-Pro stuck...

Thanks, I'll have another look at LAS, and a first look at Satair.

Sponsor Links - broken.
I was looking to see if I could find a supplier of blind rivets for my own project, and I thought to reward a business that was already supporting your project, by buying from them. I thought I'd do my own research rather than clutter the Forum with a minor query. During the research I visited your ...

Drilling out blind rivets.
You guys must know more than most about removing blind rivets, so I thought I'd Search the forum. However 'rivet' is considered a common word, so is not a valid Search term. Seems like I'll have to clutter up the Forum :-) I will soon have to remove some blind rivets, and they will be followed by ev...

Re: Pic of the Day
Thankyou gents, good solid information laced* with humour. Not having been involved from the beginning, and thus having to take on a lot of information in a shorter time, I will confess I'd thought of the ribbed plate as forming directional strakes to control the water flow, not as an internal stiff...

Re: Pic of the Day
This may have been covered before, but if so it's time for a repeat :-) Some parts of the ribbed floor are a bit 'lacy'. To ensure strength exists, green beams have been fabricated and inserted, inside the original floor. How are you going to stop water getting between the green beams and the origin...

Re: Opinion Poll- Rebuild or Conserve?
A lot of contributions in a short time indicates the strength of feeling. Even so, Bill is canvassing for more opinions. Here is mine, as an outsider. To me, the contributions polarise into two groups. The existence of these two viewpoints were brought home to me in another thread, I think it is 'Ot...

Re: Pic of the Day
If you want us 'outsiders' to appreciate what you are chatting about you will need to populate this thread with the pictures / scenes you are referring to, otherwise, as the current PoD fades into obscurity, no-one outside the inner circle will be able to understand what the hell you were rabbiting ...
