Re: Bluebird & Other Scale Models

Canopy is being made by Sarik Hobbies https://www.sarikhobbies.com/sarik-vac-form/ I had to make mould myself, I ended up using a piece of pine newel post, as my boat was originally fitted with solid fibreglass canopy 2018-06-30_16-36-15_276.jpg Here is mould part way through shaping. Re: Pic of the Day

one slip with that disk cutter and one very costly mistake. Did you see the episode of Wheeler Dealers where Edd China was trimming a new canopy for a bubble car and cracked it so had to buy another one? An expensive mistake indeed! Re: Bluebird & Other Scale Models

I am looking for some assistance.

I believe there was a plate fitted on the transom near the hydraulic pipes for the water brake which had technical details about weight etc.

Does anyone have a picture of it? i would like to add the same to my model

I also thought about reshaping the intakes on mine to closer match the real thin...

Dashboard now completed for my 1:5 scale model. Could not quite get it all to line up as well as I would have liked, but does not look bad

Ta much. It'll stay in the interim grey finish for Bute, but is complete and ready to go.
So I presume the final colour is matt black?

Re: Isle of Bute

Well speaking for the crew anyway we hope to have a secure enclosure to work in where we don't have to worry about being overrun with the public etc, with all the health and safety concerns and everything else that goes with that - but unlike in Donald's time this IS 'put on for public entertainmen...
