Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

Let me make things very clear. My son is his own man and free to do and say what he feels right however I am very sad and annoyed that he has chosen to use such language about people in Coniston who welcomed him 2 years ago at the 50th event. I am no way supportive of comments I find offensive, juve...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

That does not answer the questions raised but no matter. If we accept that the Ruskin owns half of K7, I believe they own the lot, then that still gives the Trustees the right to determine what happens to their property. You cannot take that right away from them. If they don't want their property us...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

Bill please enlighten my aged brain. Exactly what do the trustees have to sign off on? All was signed off in 2006. They apparently don't agree with what you wanted signed in 2013. Why would they sign something in 2013 relating to that which they already own? The trustees just expect K7 back and that...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

With respect your reply indicates a right to do what you think is correct as opposed to what the actual owners of the boat wish if they are opposed to it running again on Bute. In many ways Bill you appear to have assumed the rights of an owner, is that not an unwise and difficult path to tread. Unt...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

Thank you for that reply however it does not really answer the question. Has the Ruskin museum given permission for K7 to be run on Bute. A yes or know would suffice. The wording of your reply seems to indicate the dispute has not been resolved at all and you are going your own way. Does that not ri...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

Bill are you saying that the Ruskin Trustees have agreed to K7 running on Bute in 2019 or is it a decision you have taken unilaterally?
I am sure many folk will want to be sure holiday arrangements plane flights etc will not be wasted?

As I said on Monday I cannot make it. My son was going but his wife has insisted on a weekend away.

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

I offer the following with no ill directed towards anyone; I am afraid this will be my last post on this subject. I think it is very inappropriate for the matter to be played out on this forum given that lawyers are involved. It really is unreasonable to expect the Ruskin trustees to enter direct di...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

I am not taking sides when I say this; I know about verbal contracts however the fact that a subsequent submission of a written contract was not signed in the 6 years since the 2013 discussions indicates that whatever was said verbally has not been accepted by one party. Verbal agreements can be dif...
