Re: Other Speed Record Breakers Are Available!

I am wondering already what parts of the "200mph" Transit Van will have been produced by FoMoCo. Perhaps the badge? Might just get me heartened that land speed record breaking is being exposed on TV, but no way will this attempt be as impressive as the diesel truck of the late Carl Heap that did a m...

Re: Miss Britain III

I might just concede a difference between the numbers on the two sides of the craft, but the clearest pictures shows that on the starboard it is a '7'. :o

Re: Miss Britain III

............. as these designations were from Lloyds for insurance purposes that "K-7" is quite clear on Miss England (or it is to me even if part of it does touch the circle) - so did someone in Lloyds issue the correct numbering to any of the craft which followed, including Donald's big blue boat ...

Re: 4th January 2016

and now,we will never see his like again ? As a question rather than a statement, I feel sure others will arrive at a lake to challenge for the outright water speed record. They will do so knowing that all they will receive is an illuminated certificate from the UIM and a single line entry on the a...

Re: Hacking?

Didn't the CIA once try to enslave the masses and mobilise a stick-wielding, zombie army through the medium of Morris Dancing?   Perhaps they did, but they used the Cotswold dance traditions, so as to confuse folk who are only used to clog, long sword and rapper. ;) Hard to see the ...

Re: Hacking?

Something which arose when I "googled" for the project: "BLUEBIRD is the cryptonym for a CIA mind control program that ran from 1951 to 1953. Other mind control programs include ARTICHOKE, MKULTRA, and ..." I was once accused of using substances which could affect the mind, what I did not know...

Re: Pic of the Day

but please don't be quiet when the end is in sight. There are days off to be sorted, massive traffic jams to plan for, If I may 'jump in' - I can let everyone know that provide they stay awake, enthusiasts will not miss anything that happens with Bluebird K7 once the craft is completed. Can you ima...

Re: Other Speed Record Breakers Are Available!

Belgian Daniel Dehaemers has given an 'exclusive' story to the boating magazine Nautica of the unveiling of his World Water Speed Record contender - Dartagnan SP 600. This I believe is the first completed WWSR boat that has not been built by a 'Warby'. The whole structure appears to be carbon-fibre....

Re: What have forum members been up to?

It wasn't so much fly fishing as chucking a string of mackerel feathers over the side on a sunny day... I thought that you should be given the accolade of a neat piece of 'finessing' - but if you wish to be awarded the use of the less subtle, then perhaps it was more like attracting an attack from ...
