So will pic of the day be returning to this website? Miss not seeing day to day stuff at work. Due to security, social media is not accessible.

The SRN.4's & all associated Proteous spares are not owned by the museum. They are owned by Wensley Haydon-Baillie. He purchased them for the engines that power his yacht, Brave Challenger. I was told that 1 SRN.4 was suffering from corrosion issues & was cut up mainly for the scrap money to...

Re: Quicksilver
Not sure your statement was called for.
Was the 1st thing i've seen for ages about it. Was only asking a simple question re being a mock up like Bloodhound for demos.

Personally i love the film, with all it's inaccuracies, it's still a good watch with a great soundtrack.

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row
After seeing her in the flesh at Bute & seeing & hearing her, there is no way she should stop. Better than any Spitfire in the sky.
Keep her alive Bill & your team. Stirling work!!!!!

Re: Isle of Bute
After arriving on Bute Thursday afternoon & getting to the Loch in enough time to see her last run. All I can say is what a job. As good a living memorial to all concerned than any Spitfire is to the few.
Had a closer look at her today & chatted to Bill & Malcolm. Keep fighting guys, you deserve to see a lot more than having her locked in a dark museum for eternity.
K7 is alive & needs to be kept that way👍

Re: Isle of Bute
Can only access here whilst at work
This has all been amazing so far. Really hope she can be kept alive & travel to various shows & make regular demo runs. All that amazing hard work would be a shame to be packed away at Ruskin.
