Re: Completion Date

Instead of counting numbers ........... lets make it a rule here and on the guestbook that each request for knowledge of the date comes with a donation of £5 to the BBP. Re: "The Heart Of The Gnat"

The grey is a primer that stayed firmly in place when the blue lifted. You can see the outline of features on the underlying paintwork when you get up close. The orange was under a pair of closing strips that ran along the root of the fin. The yellow, plastic piping is indeed for the pitot system.

Re: Nose Material

It's still currently in the care of one of the divers but of course it now belongs to the museum and will be returned in due course. Even if we had it there's no way we'd drop that in the paint stripping bath. It has already been conserved and will go on display as-recovered.

Re: "The Heart Of The Gnat"

I recall seeing one of Ray Hannah with the Red Arrows taxiing out and the sound was good on that one. Not sure if it was on YouTube though.

Re: Whitehaven Festival

Sean, We're only teasing... we welcome on and all in here really. We can't take the boat anywhere because she's a long way from being portable and even if she was it would be a major operation and probably need planning a long way in advance. It's true though, we do occasionally get rattled by poorl...

Re: Whitehaven Festival

Renegadenemo - thanks for your unhelpful response. If you're going to make a pitch at a company or organisation make sure you do your due diligence before hitting the keyboard. Research their organisation, history, personnel. Their highs and lows and where they are now - then spend as long as it ta...
