Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

Out of interest and for clarity I have today obtained a copy of Donald Campbells will from the probate office. Easy to do for the sum of £10. The copy will go into the files my son has that goes with the K7 model. It makes interesting reading. DC did not have a lot of money when he died. He wanted L...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

Yes Bill I can see how my last sentence in my post could be mis- understood I will amend it now. Apologies for that error. I must say however it was not intended to be read as it has been. Nothing was implied at all. You know me better than that, I am direct like yourself. If I had thought otherwise...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

The last 5 words of what you quote were not meant to imply anything, probably not the best choice of words by me but we can all make innocent mistakes which others are very happy to seize upon.

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

Only one project leader, no co leader, or deputy leader.... Absolutely- and I take great exception to that baseless 'sympathy' comment of Ernie's. To be clear, I absolutely think the boat should go in the museum- as long as we can periodically get her out again and keep her alive. It's the apparent...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

Several interesting developments. It seems to me there is only one place the sad affair is going to end up and that's in a court . 1. Assuming the rights of an owner does not make it so. A court will need to determine that. 2. Miss Campbell passed away any legal rights to K7 in 2006. Moral rights ma...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

The situation as it is today must not be allowed to continue month after month year after year. A resolution must be reached that satisfies those who originally contributed towards the project and the building of the Ruskin extension on the basis of the information offered at that time to attract t...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

Interesting reading quotes about what Donald would think about recent activities. Go back many decades to what he said if an accident occurred 'Donald stays with the boat'. If someone had put it to him that after an accident the boat would be recovered and rebuilt to be driven by someone else as a f...

Re: Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird in museum home row

AS someone who regularly attends meetings of a local parish Council, as an official representing out model boat club, I see first hand what the problem can be for anyone trying to get answers. Indeed in the space of six months I have seen so many councillor changes I barely recognise any. That said ...
