Re: The Royal Charter
Bill, Polo, Thanks for your comments. I didn't really know what I'd learn by posting, nor was I really looking for anything specific - sometimes you just go fishing to see what you catch! I don't think I'll be snorkelling next week - temperature needs to be a few degrees warmer than the current fore...

The Royal Charter
Any of the diving community on here ever dived the wreck of the Royal Charter off the coast of Anglessey at Moelfre? Would love to hear your story / see any pictures. Found out just recently that my GGG Grandfather was one of the few survivors from the wreck on 26th October 1859. For those who know ...

Nothing wrong with Trekkies, but just one question. As a Klingon, are you only to be found on the starboard bow (sponson)?klingon wrote:

BSSC Rocket test today- http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-19810160 So that's about 750Hp from the F1 engine to drive the HTP pump and about 200Hp from the EJ200 gearbox to drive the fuel pumps. Think what you can do with 950Hp and it's all being used just to deliver fuel... ...and out o...

Re: John Cobb- Crusader/Railton Special
It is important to understand that Crusader fell foul of the little-known effects of dynamic instability. This was elegantly enunciated by the Norris brothers following analysis of cinematographic recordings of Crusader's demise (The Engineer, 1957). They showed that the craft suffered violent pitc...

Re: Other Speed Record Breakers Are Available!
The ultimate outcome of all this will be that just like more and more military operations, the outright records will become unmanned to prevent the possibilty of an individual having a bad day. On this basis, the current speed record would be 99.9999991% of the speed of light - as held by those nice...
