Long time listener, 1st time caller... If you guys were aware of the guy behind the Titanic II pipe dream, you would not be surprised that its been scuttled. I must say, I'm DYING for a new entry in the diary...

There's a documentary on Channel 4 at 9pm tonight about the exped that discovered HMS Erebus from the Franklin Expedition-

was not very deep, the divers were still on air.

The doc was a bit out of date as they've already had the bell and a canon up from it, amongst other bits. Not a bad doc- a good potted history of the Franklin Exped- but I would have liked more about the actual wreck in it. Here's a better look at the wreck-

Just back from a brief foray to Scotland. Visited Captain Scott's Discovery in Dundee- what a fantastic old thing- incredibly solid, being that she was built as an Antarctic exploration vessel. Just a few brief highlights-

You wouldn't - it's terrifying thinking that at any second you could hang the vehicle by its tether and lose the lot. Much better to strap a 'breather on your back and go for a proper look. Ahh, happy days.I'd love to fly on a wreck
