Tentative, but;
According to some scraps of paper used by Louis, DC's favourite biscuits were, Custard Creams, Nice and Bourbons (can't argue with that!!). ALL of these were made by Peek Freens whose used one logo in the 60s that was a chef's hat.

Doesn't look like Peek Freans or Carrs to me but then it doesn't have to be biscuits. It could be gravy salt or teabags or anything. All we know is it's embossed in the lid of a tin, so whose logo is it?

Could it be A B M for "Associated Biscuit Manufacturers " apparently this was a holding company formed after a merger between Huntley & Palmer & Peek Freens.........

The curved bit highlighted on the right appears identical to all of the hammer strikes elsewhere, no doubt from trying to extract the lead from the tin.

A bit of a leap here but that other logo looks like a guardsman or a drummer or both and he seems to be wearing a kilt. Christmas 66, shortbread...
