We're pleased to tell you that 'Bluebird- The Spirit Reborn' will be transmitted on the Sky News channel on Friday, December 24th, 7:30pm to 8:00pm.

From Sky's programme information release- 'We follow the team who recovered Donald Campbell's iconic Bluebird jetboat 34 years after its fatal crash, revealing what happened when Campbell lost control of his boat at over 300mph.'

Sky News is available to Sky customers as channel 501- it is also available to Freeview digital viewers as channel 82.

The programme will be shown simultaneously on the Sky News HD channel and then repeated several times after first transmission- here are the first couple of repeats-

Sky News December 25th at 4:30am
Sky News HD December 25th at 4:30am
Sky News December 26th at 1:30am
Sky News HD December 26th at 1:30am

Full repeat schedule here-

- so you've all got no excuse for missing it, and for not finally seeing what actually happened to Bluebird inside that big cloud of spray...

(These details are from the early online TV listings- any changes/further info will be incorporated into this posting)

This is what i've managed to find about additional screenings.
(presumably part of this was what they were filming during speed week?)

Thanks for the plug Mike.

To help those searching the listsings, the film's actual title is Bluebird: The Spirit Reborn.

It's scheduled to run on Sky News and Sky News HD a total of 23 times over the festive.

Many of those are scheduled for the benefit of night-shift workers (!) but the main showings for those with normal sleep patterns are 1930 on Christmas and New Years Eves.

And yes, I'm sorry it's only a half hour too.

Yours, Jim

Yes the Prog Info Team have been a little laid back about the title...

Anyway, just putting the finishing touches to it now after some intensely annoying technical glitches.

Neil just called me. For a moment I thought he was going to tell me he'd changed his mind about the crash and it was back to the drawing board...

I was all ready to have a little cry.

But he didn't, thank gawd.
