Trigger's broom in steam once again. I'm sure they could've steamed Mallard for less...
Bangers!
You must have known I was coming!

On that note, this is a very honest 'blog' from someone at the NRM themselves, which basically says that only a few scraps of original Scotsman remain-

http://blog.nrm.org.uk/how-much-flying- ... -original/

If a national museum are honest enough to describe their exhibit as 'Granddad's hammer', then good for them! Look at HMS Victory- only a few shreds of that are much older than the 1920s, but people still accept it as Nelson's ship. There's a Mk.1 Spitfire flying around that bears only the maker's plate and the flap lever from the original aircraft. It just shows- if every slightly damaged or vaguely scruffy part of K7 had been replaced there'd have been precious little left, but we would have been finished years ago and still could have said 'Ah, but it's still Campbell's boat in spirit!' and held our heads up among the best of them. Yet you take the longer path and rebuild her to astonishing levels of originality and all you hear is whinge about 'when'...

It was out and about last week painted in wartime black. Looked really smart.

To the boy who’s half a man,
Or the man who’s half a boy.
