Desperately sorry to see former F1 driver Justin Wilson has died from injuries sustained in an IndyCar race at Pocono.

Ample demonstration how the HANS (head a neck support) device can give a driver a good chance of survival.

Hi Mike I was only speaking to somebody within Formula 1 the other evening and as far as they were concerned nothing had changed! Michael has only made minor improvements since the accident but no mention of any deterioration or things getting any worse I took that to mean. The news boys must be short of a story at the moment.

Its in my planner Mike, I think Guy Martin is a really entertaining character, and there aren't enough of them. Particularly on the box..

Have to say I was very disappointed. Everyone knows a car is quicker than a bike at that level and even Hammond got a go in a F1 car so what was that all about? But wasn't that Adrian Newey's hill-climb car? Maybe he said no diesel fitters from Grimsby...

I agree Guy Martin seemed to enjoy himself immensely and David Coulthard came across well too. But It was definitely not like his regular " Speed" programmes. As Mike says, more of a C4 advert really .....

Brawn on Schumacher ...

His remarks could, of course, mean almost anything - but there it is.
