There is always a chance of a miracle, I guess.
The miracles seem to come mostly from the hypoxic brain injury victims and less so from the TBIs. I think all that was needed to be said was said in the early press releases when the surgical staff described damage to both sides of the brain... and the middle.
One side or the other, maybe, but not both and when the brain stem is involved too it seems not unreasonable to say that the game is up. But I'm no neurologist, so here's hoping.

The ups and downs of F1...on the same day Lotus F1 team issued with a winding up order. Apparently they have 2 weeks to sort the mess out = pay their suppliers!

This was perhaps a mercy, but no less tragic.

A real shame but for the best, I suspect. He was a cracking driver too. That's two drivers Marussia have lost through accidents.

And both freak accidents, at that, with both de Villota's and Bianchi's cars striking support vehicles positioned away from the course. Just desperate bad fortune for this plucky team.

But how's this for pluck? On the very same day that Jules Bianchi died, his team-mate at that fateful race, Max Chilton, has scored his first victory in the Indy Lights championship, Stateside. A tough-nut with heart. Good on him!

Shame we'll never know how good he would have become. He definitely had the gift. RIP Jules.
