I work as a structural engineer and on site this morning i found an old newspaper hidden under a beam and i saw this.

A nice little find that and its great that this sort of thing happens from time to time. You perhaps might be able to carefully iron the sheets flat again but do not use the steam mode and a tea towel maybe of some use.

We have an in-house conservator who might take a look but she's been putting rivets into the Barra' tonight and before that she was countersinking 5/32 holes in Lefty sponson so maybe the museum stuff is beginning to take a back seat.

Ha ha, she did indeed - revenge, I suspect, for having her mix a batch of dog-sh*t for Lefty Sponson. The aforementioned substance, by the way, is an epoxy putty we use to skim over the ends of the spar frames before the skins go on just to be sure all the heights are right for the rivets and in terms of sticky-horridness it makes choccie sauce look as innocuous as milk.
