Looks like I'll not be able to make it. There's a funeral going on.

I certainly can't make it because it's Carl's funeral bash on Friday and events surrounding it pretty much wipe out my weekend

its off, cant find accomodation and its too far to go just for a few hours. think we all need to get together and suggest a date for later in the year when coniston is not quite as busy.

Just back from Coniston today and its absolutely heaving with people!-no vacancies all over the place-stuck out like a sore thumb cos I wasn't wearing hiking boots and a Berghaus jacket!(no I wasn't dressed as a Klingon either)-K7's new "hoose" is looking magic-very plush!-now all thats needed is a big blue tin boat to fill it!

Count me in, just let me get Friday out of the way and I promise I'll return to an even keel. The diary will be updated too, lots to tell.

If it's any use to forward planners-theres a Caravan Club site right in the middle of Coniston for those with Jeremy Clarksons favourite vehicle-thats the way I'll probably go as it's £13:50 a night and well within staggering distance of the pub!

Is this a caravan club only site or is it open to all us annoying people dragging a tin house behind our cars?
