Well of late I have mostly been messing with boats of the sticks and string variety ! Had to re rig the little project yesterday after work... usually when I am on early shifts I tend to be in bed no later than 9pm, however as usual the time ran away as I was engrossed ! 23:30 I left the garage, I have not done that in ages ! Felt quite good
Still need to remove the old grip at the back of the boat, but it's come a long way in a short time from the wreckage I bought.
Nathan's mini can now go into its roll over jig, and we can continue with the dirty metal !

That's a boat? Where's the rest of it?

Needs to be light to be fast... no wood or varnish on this one, it's built for speed ! Mind this is only half the boat, wings off... and it still fills my garage at 16' long
Canny link here to one in action... I picked a Russian crew as they are usually a touch mad !

just needs all that broken umbrella nonsense stripped off the top, a cabin to keep the weather off and a decent outboard. They're definitely doing that the hard way!

Re: What have forum members been up to?
Been wondering about that, the carbon must flex, if I varnish it, is it not likely to crack the varnish off the spar ?
