Excellent video, very nicely done.

I attended the Coroner's inquest 'touching on the death' of Carl today.

Nothing I didn't know and the verdict of accidental death was expected but it's a relief to have it over and done with.

Now it's in the public domain it's worth noting that Carl was caught out by a wrongly labelled bottle of gas that he had brought and deployed. He breathed from it after getting into unrelated difficulties at depth and it was the final link in a tragic chain that cost him his life.

Four years... to those who knew Carl, raise a glass of diet Coke.

It's already been posted on the thread in the past but here is a link to a tribute which was done by Leigh Bishop and Carl's co divers...

Tragic loss of a diver at the top of his game. I never met the bloke, but from the many stories I have heard of him, I am sure I would have liked him had fate afforded me the privilege of his company!

5 years? Jeez where does the time go. Mind you if there is such a thing as eternal life there is going to be one hell of a get together when we all go up there. We can normaly empty a pub within 20 minutes, would be great if there was a pub up there called the cloud and harp or something which we could all meet up in and send the other angels packing with their hiking back packs on.

Mike and I had the same discussion only days ago - walking into the Cloud & Harp and saying,

'Right - where's Campbell?'

Would also be interesting to meet up with the buggers that designed them sponsons and ask what were they thinking. I have seen grown men cry trying to replicate them. if i get a bit of time I might write a scenario of us all in heaven for the next diary entry. would make a change from my sports reports.
