Dont need to remember mate. Surely you have been on the project long enough to trust in photographic evidence. ;)

Fascinating as always.

Just a thought on the intake blanks - wouldn't it be nice to have some made out of perspex, so once in place in the museum (with some cunningly mounted spotlamps), the engine face would be visible?

Hi All,

I'll agree with all that's been said, great update. Just one thing, as you know I'm saving all diary & potd info, but photograph No. 19 opens to show No 18 again. Please could it be put right.

Regards to all, Fred

Hi All,

It's me again, re- my previous post. There are in fact two photographs that open incorrectly. These are No 19 which displays No 18, when opened; and No 36 which displays 35.

Sorry to be a pain, but it needs to be kept correctly in my archive.

Regards to all, Fred

Excellent read this morning another piece of history takes shape. Novie and the "Coniston Connection" sounds like a rather secretive instillation which is sadly no more. But work will continue on a smaller scale but not within the museum as our "Coniston Connection" spools down. :D Excellent diary update Bill some really hard detective work gone into that lot. I still kick myself for not realizing I knew the answer to the donor aircraft for the start system and had been to see it many years ago. When I came across my notes in the Aircraft Museums Guide I could have died! Could have saved sometime there re hunting around Vulcans but that in itself has proven fruitful thank good. Brilliant update. :D

I'm inclined to say perspex in the museum and the proper yellow ones when out & about. I've seen aircraft displayed with the inlets lit internally and must say it looks the proverbial dog's danglies.
