Haha cheers! You should definitely fly that thing.
I'm fortunate to say that I actually work with the Flite Test guys now producing article content on the website. Would love to produce an article or two on Bluebird k7 and the restoration actually.
Bluebird & Other Scale Models
Re: Bluebird & Other Scale Models
Does Josh Bixler still have much to do with FT ? Been ages since I have seen their video’s on YouTube.

He does indeed. Josh is still the main showrunner.
Re: Bluebird & Other Scale Models
I have just acquired this model, it is fibreglass construction
It's approx 1.7m long, which makes it about 1:5 scale I think
I do not know much about it or who built it, anyone one here have any ideas?

Nice looking boat is this the one off ebay as I noticed one the other week, I do remember a guy down south having a fiberglass mould for K7 he only made a few though hope this might help .

Yes it is the one on eBay which was described as 1:10 scale, which it is not
It is a very detailed mode, was quite a find in my opinion

Re: Bluebird & Other Scale Models
Definitely a good find!!!
I would have gone for it if I’d known it was that size, the one I’m working on iirc is 1850mm long and should be if the plans are to be believed 1/4ish.
Is there anything inside it?
Also, can we have a pic from the front please, as it’s the tradition in here to say the intake shape is wrong lol
Cheers

Re: Bluebird & Other Scale Models
Nothing inside at all, never had anything mounted
Here are more pictures
Turbine installation is my intention, but think I will need quite a more powerful turbine to power, I had intended to build 1:8 scale from Speedline Models so had already purchased a Jetcat P60

Yep that's true a couple of the team told me the nose and the shape to each side of the cockpit were wrong you know who you areha, but it was good advise....but now I'm doing 64 spec all change inside and out good luck with your boats K7 pulls loads of twists and turns while you build it!
