That's a good point actually- presumably, many people were still off enjoying the Christmas/New Year period..?

At least the single still image of the duck dent is an extremely good quality one- a luxury compared to some of the images we've had to extract information from over the years!

It could simply be that that part of history was never recorded photographically with people away enjoying the holidays and such. I can't imagine the locals or the team wanting to snap away with their cameras. But you never know, next week someone might be cleaning out an attic and, bingo!

The current pic with the remnant of left shoulder seat belt is similar to the many that newspapers used to report the recovery of K7. I have to say at that time it was the strongest image that made me unwell and think that the remains should have been turned into a trophy or two.

What I have learnt since is why there is nothing on the left hand side of that bulkhead tube.

In looking at the belt I did not focus on the torn and crushed air intake ... well done to the team for getting it back to a usable condition.

Obviously we were focussing on the intakes and also cropping the picture to the standard POTD landscape format, but here's the same image in full-

And well earned it was too...
We eventually got our mate Richie one of those 'It'll Fix' shirts after many months of forgetting to.
From all of us, Thanks Rich... it's a pleasure working with you and long may it continue.

Hear hear- we lucked out when Richie showed up- local, skilled, keen, and above all, a great lad.

Doesn't matter anyway - we've swapped him out for something much prettier. Doesn't John look good in that shot...
