To be fair to them, they've had their punch on the nose, taken it like men, patched things up with the Campbell family and yomped onwards. I wish them the very best of luck and they've certainly produced far more in the way of tangible results than, purely for example, the Quicksilver people. The build photos and video are fascinating; I wonder what Gnat donated the fin? It doesn't like look like the all-red fin from their own example (XM708). I also note from the video that their team includes two blonde hotties, so on that score they are already one up on the K7 boys (no offence to 'Girl' as I a) don't know what you look like and b) understand you can wield power tools!).

We also have Helen and Lucy who are great on the tools as well as our tame Museologist Louise so that's 4-2 and all our girls are hot brunettes!

If you look at it that way, then you could say the same of the British Pursuit team, in that they both produced a craft that looked the business, didn't plane and had as much chance of breaking a meaningful speed record as DMC did on a water scooter.
Can you imagine the howls of derision that would have greeted the Quicksilver team if they had come up with a stunt like that?

There's a world of difference between talking about it and going out and actually building something and then trying to get it to work and I have a lot of respect for them for doing that. The original K7 didn't exactly cover itself in glory when first introduced to the water, did it? If DMC had run out of money then, he'd have been in the same position as British Pursuit.
