What with those pictures and some I saw last week it all seems to be getting quite strange. Sort of like never being able to own a real classic Ferrari so going and building a kit car version, and then taking pictures of it in various places whilst trying to emulate part of the history of the real thing along with hoping that people not in the know think it's the real deal while giving the owner a sense of being a part of something they can only dream about. Or as the misses said awwww bless 'em that is so sad that people can be that obsessed they will go to those lengths and expense. Or as I would put it. OK climb on the couch and relax and let’s start with your childhood.

In all fairness the pictures for sale on ebay are excellent quality and are honestly advertised, and I don't think it's fair to criticise a (very good) photographer for simply selling his wares.

Also saw this on ebay though, which did make me laugh-

Where did I do that Mike? I think if you re- read the posting I was criticizing the content and the behavioral message that underlies the simplicity of what you actually see in the picture. I have no idea who set up the shot but I do have a pretty good idea why it was set up the way it was.

Oh I got your original meaning just fine, and hey, maybe you're right. Or maybe, as I meant in my reply, sometimes a photo is just a photo? Just trying to introduce a little fairness.

This thread is even beginning to bore me now!

Any of my fellow moderators know how to put it to bed? I never did RTFM.
I'm only a plumber from Cannock...

This is not put on as a public entertainment... it's put on to reach a certain goal.
