Can give you the positions for several. There's a very nice Canadian canoe in Ullswater. All you have to do is get them out of the water. We lifted one once - a blue one.

Twas not me :D And regards to my damaged vehicul Mike It was a wall that jumped out and hit my pride and joy as was it the sheep who jumped out in front of me previously  Not funny at the time but I can look back and reflect, and when I look at the work in progress (i.e nearside wing in gaffer tape, cheers Alain for the ideal repair solution) It gives you respect for those walls and roads around here that badly need repairing, widening and farmers prosecuting ( stringing up by their Goolies)for allowing their Livestock to roam on to the public highway due to their badly maintained fences and walls!

And not to mention those people that got their driving licenses out of a flaming lucky bags that I encounter 7 days a week whilst out and about. It never fails to amaze me when people cannot reverse to save their lives especial those with caravans

Hi Paul,

Great to have you aboard... it's manic, but I've been back on winches this week. Almost finished.

We did use the centre part of a winch drum to stand the start bottles on while we worked on them but I'm sure it wasn't included in the build. :D

Thought it the right thing to do in way of formal introduction.

I have recently become addicted with Bluebird and Donald as I live in the South Lakes and find this a 'book you can't put down'.

We recently did a summer holiday (which wasn't planned this way) that I feel touched on great british icons.

We watched the Red Arrows at Bournemouth the day of the crash, Spitfire & Lancaster, travelled to Beaulieu admiring the cars including Bluebird (James Bond and Top Gear!), up to London including national war museum, palace, windsor castle etc, then Silverstone circuit to drive an Aston Martin and finally up to Manchester to see Concorde. A couple of days later we went on Coniston water, coffee at Bluebird cafe and then paid a visit to Donald Campbells grave. A very fitting end to what I think includes the best of british.

Almost forgot, we did all this in a Land Rover.
