I belong to the Bluebird Modellers Forum and own a 1/6th scale Speedline K7 complete with Wren Supersport Turbine and having heavily modified the planing surfaces and Sponsor angles and depths to achieve high speed planing would be keen to obtain an accurate set of drawings to enable myself and any other modeller to create an accurate model of the actual K7 instead of using the available plans which have been rendered obsolete by the many modifications carried out by Donald and his team.
Would the Bluebird Rebuild Team therefore be interested in my company plus a Survey Instrument supply company carrying out a full 3d scan of the completed K7? The scanning and subsequent production of drawings would be FOC to the Bluebird rebuild team who would then own the copyright and be able to sell these drawings to interested third parties.

That looks so Sexy, it's unbelievable!!
Just cos my username is Thunderer, doesn't necessarily mean I SHOUT !! "A vehicle is designed to be used, restored or otherwise" A personal response on the question "you have just restored it, why use it?"
Just dropped in to say the 1/6th scale Bluebird I built (the one on you tube) is now back with my family. My son sold it when hard times hit but hes been able to buy it back due to my wife and I losing our parents (both mothers and her father) in the last 6 months. Some money came my sons way so hes got it back. Hopefully it will now stay in the family for my 4 year grandson to have in the future. The rest of my collection has gone for good but at least K7 is back.
Sorry if this is not of interest, I just wanted to say it.
BTW Bill I kept my promise and never sold all the photos I took at your place even when I was offered quite a lot of money. Those will now stay with the model.
Hello Mike. Thank you but I wont be staying, I only wanted say my pride and joy is back with the family ( I actually wont be having anything to do with it thankfully, those days are firmly in the past) Best wishes.
Hi Ernie I think I can speak on behalf of the project and say you are most welcome on this site anytime. I and others over the years have admired your excellent craftsmanship in making those superb accurate models and if that's all in the past then I as so sorry to hear that. A finer person and modeler that I will ever have the pleasure of meeting. If only I had a third of your ability to create such masterpieces that would do for me. Take care and whatever it is you are doing in the future I/we wish you well but don't be a stranger mate. We are all busy but will always have time for an old friend Take care and god Bless Novie
Thank you Novie I always enjoyed your company and always felt you were one of a small number of genuine people with a deep seated love of the BB story with a willingness to give much of your spare time. I do miss the company of people like yourself. Thank you for the kind offer to visit the site again but these days I keep very much to myself. (health reasons principally)
BTW I never made it widely known that quite some years back one of the team building the replica that did so badly last week invited me to be part of the team involved in the design and build. At that time I had taken a lot of photographs of the big BB at North Shields and I felt it was very inappropriate for me to take up the offer. Some people questioned my motives and integrity but I think I acted honourably. As I said I could have sold those photographs many times over but have kept my word to Bill (and Gina).
I doubt our paths will cross again Novie but I will always remember you as one of the good guys, best regards to all on the current BB team. I think thats me done I only really wanted to let poeple know that the K7 model had returned to my family. It hurt me beyond words when it was sold but I got over it.
