Merry Christmas!

It's for outdoor use and needs to be electric (me and 5year old and 8year old). Budget £60-£80.

I want one that is easy to control and stable (2 rotors). The honeybee2 I had was awful to control.

its just an upside down lawn mower... Robinson R22 I think ? looks too small to be the 44..... i think the tech that goes into the toys is more advanced  lots of fun to fly though i was once lucky enough to.........sweep the hotel car park free of loose substrate to allow a guest to land his Augusta for a cup of tea ! i decided i hated him when he asked if i could put the landing fee's on his bar tab.....like i would have a button for that on my till.....oh yes here it is right next to the side order of chips.. :D was a lovely bloke though.

That's the perks of a forum - if feels like a chat with your mates about 'men stuff' 8-)

Mine's a 107G and I can confirm that it is very stable and east to fly; amazing how much better it is than some earlier indoor helicopters. My 10 year old niece has no problem controlling hers.
I wouldn't use one outside though; I have tried in my back garden with two different models and they just go out of control. I suspect that the problem is PIR detectors for security lights interfering with the infra-red control system, so it might be OK in a large open space on a VERY still day. The 107G is good value, I got mine for just over £22 (well, £9.60 plus £12.98 p+p) from Amazon.

Here's a good one for messing about with indoors and can also use outside without fear of a passing insect causing problems

It is a sobering thought that I paid as much as that for my Speedline K7 kit in 2006!

Yeah - it's a 22. Carl once got his 44 in but he only did it once... It wreaked havoc on the sunflowers!
