Hi All,
Last weekend we took a trip up to Bristol, for a Bloodhound meeting, and then it was straight up the M5, M42, M6, M69, and M1 to Darlington to see the Corp.
At Bristol, both Richard (Noble), and Ron (Ayers) were kind enough to autograph the 'THREE CHEERS' prints, for us as well as Ben Evans (Aerodynamics) and Ian Glover (1K Club President), two other BloodhoundSSC Team Members.
Unfortunately, Andy (Green), wasn't there as he was in the USA, so Richard is going to arrange for me to meet up with him later.
Now for the northern trip. The 'Corp' I'm glad to say was in top form, when we arrived on Tuesday, and two RAF friends also turned up making it a very pleasant visit. We didn't bother with signing the 'prints' that day, as we were due to spend two nights in Darlington.
Unfortunately as Paul ('Corp') doesn't get many visitors, he gets rather excited when he does, which is not good for his chest. Over-night he had a bad turn and was rushed into hospital, cutting our visit a bit short. When we left, the 'Prints' stayed we Paul's wife 'Dot', who will get him to sign them as, and when he is strong enough.
When we left Darlington he had improved somewhat, although we didn't get to see him. We will be returning to Darlington just as soon as he has recovered enough.
Kind regards to all, Fred
