Hi all,

I prefer the Hispano-Suiza with wheels. This one belongs to Sir Paul McCartney and used to be at Filching Manor. It was re-spayed and upholstered for the premier of Yellow Submarine.

I'll have to sort out the other pictures I took, that colour-sceme you can just see on top of the seats, runs throughout the interior.

Regards, Fred

That brings back some memories Fred. I drove that back from Beaulieu with Paul one Friday. The seats are bright stripes, I mean BRIGHT stripes, and the thing drank petrol by the gallon. Best thing on it? The switch on the dash that operated the exhaust cutout, either silenced or straight through. Any guesses which we prefered!!!!!? Is it still there Fred?

Hi Steve,

I'm afraid not, it went around the time of Linda's death. They had been due to go touring, but it never came back. I used to enjoy going over that with the leather.

This picture doesn't do it credit, must dig the other out. Just beautiful!

Regards, Fred

If by that you mean the van Steve, then I think it is still there.

The green one, yep, as used in "Give My Regards'", Paul (Mac) was supposed to have a ISO Griffo that we were going to pick up as well, shame they don't get used!!

Apoligies for the off topic comment but what exactly is stored at Filching Manor and where does it come into the story (excuse my ignorance) I've had a look at the pics on Freds site and there seems to be some pretty interesting stuff on display (I see the K3 and other bits & bobs). If any of the display items are of interest to K7, would it be possible to get them on loan when she is on display at the Ruskin? Suppose I should ask how did they get there also? One mans collection or was it someone more important to the story?

Thanks in advance

It's one man's collection, basically- one man who tried to claim that he owned the wreck of K7 when it was raised, as it happens. The gentleman in question is now deceased, though the collection still remains. There certainly are a few genuine pieces of K7 wreckage there, which of course would be best off reincorporated into the boat, or at least displayed alongside her, but the owners of the material prefer to keep it mostly to themselves.

ah! that man, I see.

Thanks for the reply, assume his estate is not interested in working with the BB Team and the museum is just being left to rot for now. thats a real shame
