Want to own a part of history ?

Keith,

In the interests of fair play we do not sell anything from K7 except via e-bay so if you want a paint flake I'm afraid you'll have to bid for one. As for your donation, when did you make it? We tend to run a few days behind with our housekeeping as all at the project are volunteers and must fit our Bluebirding between school runs and day jobs...

Bill - fair enough.

Sent the donation on 19th January. I can appreciate the time constraints - really just wanted to check you'd got it!

Just so you are aware - we have now had a very small number of paint flakes released for sale - the first one of this batch has gone on Ebay this evening, after sitting on the office floor for a couple of hours and knocking this one up.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :MESELX:IT

These are nice big flakes, and there's a newly designed certificate of authenticity with these ( signed personally by Bill ), accompanied as before with a letter of authenticity on genuine Bluebird Project paper with a picture of the paint fragment - also signed personally by Bill.

Sure to be a collectors item once the boat is finished, and a genuine untouched piece of the original K7 as she was the day Donald piloted her ... he may of even ran his hand over this very paint ... :o

As before, all proceeds to the fund ...

Cheers

Many thanks, Andy... your efforts are greatly appreciated.

We've awarded one or two of these mounted paint flakes to sponsors over the years so I've handled the finished article and I can confirm that Andy does a beautiful job of presenting them and a very professional job in selling them. If you don't get one while you have the chance you'll always wish you did because there won't be many in the grand scheme of things.

Having just seen the speed at which a six hundred quid box of rivets was used up, it makes you appreciate every penny that comes in all the more- big thanks Andy! 8-)

Exciting finish to the auction there, 1 bidder to 5 in a click of the fingers!

Good result and thanks to the winning bidder if they're reading this. Things are getting expensive over here!

How much did it go for in the end? Missed it I'm afraid! Was totally engrossed in the British Grand prix and the World cup today :D
