There is a LCS truck Circa 1950 a mile from my house, in a local museum.

I know its not a LC5 but, I'll go have a look you never know.

I don;t know if its any help but heres a few pictures of the LCS steering box i saw today.
Sorry if they are to big (i'm not sure how to resize   )

I have more pictures but its difficult to see from these, I think it looks the same as the drawing on page 5 of this thread, apart from the way in which it mounts to the chassis rail. I'm sure i read it here that it may have been modified (in what way :?: ),

"Modified" Adapted? ? ?
If the mount on this LCS Truck were to be Cut off at the point of it's bend and a plate welded on or straightened out instead of bolting through the top and side of the chassis rail it would look like the drawing.

Edit... the pictures above seen to have lost the right hand side, Resize
Edit 2... the pictures above have now be resized . But alas, although seem to be similar/or have parts that look the same, looking at the drawing again there not.

No banana for me today   and I thought I was being helpful

there is a free program called Fotosizer that will do the job http://www.fotosizer.com/ it's what I use for resizing the photos for the website as it will resize one photo or a whole folder of photos
If it can't be fixed with duck tape it can't be fixed

It's very close but still not quite right. I think we're on the right track with the Burman box but the exact model is still eluding us. We need to send for a pic in hi-res to see if that'll give the game away. We've avoided that route thus far because we'll have to pay for the privilege but every other alternative seems to have been exhausted. Thanks for taking the time and trouble to get those pics for us, it's very much appreciated.

By the way - the BBP crew will all be in Coniston on the night of the 8th January if any of you are local and want to pay for our drinks.

To be continued...

This is because Mike is from 'south' where people don't know how to drink beer properly and look like this after three pints, except without the grin.

Hey, I managed five pints the other night and all I got afterwards was comedy hiccups! :D
